The ideal candidate would be to plan, direct, and coordinate the concrete/structures schedule and activities to ensure goals and objectives of projects are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters. Manage schedule milestones and monitor workforce levels to ensure conformance with the project objectives.

Work Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of leadership techniques, concrete/structure production methods, and coordination of schedules, crews, and resources.
  • Knowledge of concrete/structures design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, and drawings.
  • Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in concrete/structures projects.
  • Knowledge of organizational operating practices and procedures.
  • Uses logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
  • Knowledgeable in construction equipment and governmental requirements.
  • Must have the ability to work long hours and some weekends and a willingness to assume a high level of responsibility.
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to follow oral and written directions, plans, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language, including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
  • Possesses a valid Driver s License with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to company values.

Education & Work Experience Guidelines:

  • Bachelor s Degree in Construction Management; AND,
  • Ten (10) years experience in the management of concrete construction; AND,
  • At least three (3) years experience in a supervisory role; OR,
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities as determined by the hiring manager.

Roles, Duties, & Responsibilities:

  • Works directly with Field Operations Manager and Project Managers to monitor the daily activities and productivity of Concrete Superintendents, Concrete Foreman, Concrete Crews and Project Superintendents.
  • Assures field staff provides all required reporting information timely and accurately.
  • Provides collaboration and oversight to ensure project schedules are maintained.
  • Collaborates with Project Teams to provide best means and methods to meet project goals.
  • Works directly with other operations and support managers to improve or develop consistent processes for organizational success.
  • Supports project teams including safety, equipment and support groups in planning phase to develop work plans, THA s, SSSP s and all required BMPs for project success.
  • Collaborates with shop to determine needs for use of specialized equipment.
  • Interacts with the clients in a manner consistent with our values promoting growth in the area operations.
  • Reviews budget reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement and to determine areas needing cost reduction and program improvement.
  • Develops and enforces policies, procedures, methods, and standards.
  • Adheres to all Hunter Contracting Co. safety policies and procedures.
  • Enforces all applicable safety polices and procedures with supervision and subcontractors.
  • Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.
