Configuration Specialist
Indianapolis, IN
An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Configuration Specialist with LibertyWorks Advanced Development. You will be part of a team responsible for designing, developing, and delivering capability to the program for effective engine and exhaust configuration management. This role will require extensive configuration management experience, with a focus on engine management and delivery to meet customer schedules, collaboration across functional groups, and coordination of engine configurations for development testing and production.

In this role, you will support the program Blue Chips, deliver key engineering and schedule milestones, and meet all budget targets. Additionally, you will be responsible for performing as the program Configuration Specialist when and where needed.

Key Accountabilities:
- Identify and utilize the rules, tools and processes to support the efficient execution of Configuration Management for the program.
- Identify and utilize the Teamcenter Configuration and Change Management (CCM) functionality to support the program. This includes management of Investigation Requests/Changes Requests/Change Notices, Product Change Board agendas/minutes, status accounting, metric development along with Part Mastering and Product Mastering functionality and processes.
- Support the program engine Bill of Material (BOM) using the required processes and tools for Configuration Management including EBOM, PBOM and ABOM. This would apply to both Development engines and Production engines.
- Serve as Configuration Management subject matter expert to drive discipline at the program level.
- Manage planning and execution of the program using the Product Change Board process including management of change objects/notices, agendas/minutes and serving as a quorum member of the change board.
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and 5+ years of experience in engineering including Configuration Management, OR
- Master's Degree in Engineering and 3+ years of experience in engineering including Configuration Management, OR
- JD/PhD
- Experience with definition and change management in PLM tools.
- Experience with responsibility for major and complex assignments with long-term business implications.
- In order to be considered for this role, you must be a US citizen.
Preferred Requirements:
- CM2 certified or otherwise demonstrated understanding of Configuration Management principles.
- Proven ability to operate independently within cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated planning, organizational, interpersonal and leadership skills – particularly as part of business transformation to implement new processes.
- Basic understanding of engineering design, procurement, manufacturing, assembly, and aftermarket.
- Skilled in Teamcenter product lifecycle management workflows and change management
- Proficiency in computer and technical skills including Computer Aided Design (CAD), Bills of Material (BoM), SAP’s BoM module, MS Project, and MS Office.
