The Big Picture:

Mortenson is currently seeking a Construction Coordinator I to join the Wind Renewable Energy team. The Construction Coordinator I is responsible for providing day-to-day administration and tracking of construction-related processes and documents under the supervision of project management staff. NOTE: THIS POSITION REQUIRES 100% TRAVEL - temporarily relocating to one of our projects located nationwide.


What will you be doing?
  • Collect and organize punchlists, inventory, work production plans for easy retrieval and documenting
  • Process invoices and billing under the supervision of project manager and/or project accountant
  • Train in new project admins/clerks
  • Perform basic inventory control under the direction of project management staff
  • Assist with record retention and document controls
  • Perform basic field quality and safety inspections
  • Document conformance to plans and specs
  • Recommend potential solutions
  • Promote Mortenson’s safety culture
  • Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels
  • All other duties as assigned
How will you succeed?
  • Strong Microsoft Office and internet skills
  • Ability to learn and utilize different types of computer software used in Construction Management to support any aspect of a construction project
  • Ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbally
  • Ability to effectively handle detailed information and meet deadlines
  • Ability to multitask
  • Active listening skills and effective communication including an openness to diverse input and feedback
  • Ability to travel up to 10%

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High School Degree or equivalent
  • Previous experience on a construction job site preferred
