Position Overview:
The Area Manager – Field Operations will manage all aspects of the Service Center and Field Operations teams. This includes but is not limited to directing daily activities of all employees assigned to those areas.
What you’ll do:
  • Manage and direct safety program to ensure strict compliance with all safety protocols.
  • Conducts all business in accordance with our Code of Ethics.
  • Provides a positive and engaging work environment that supports our Best Places to Work Culture.
  • Aligns individual and team objectives to department and company objectives.
  • Ensure all homes are completed in adherence to construction schedule and specifications.
  • Sets expectations with all direct supports to align with client and company quality program(s).
  • Acts as scope of work expert including framing standards, structural drawings, wall panels, truss design requirements, and structural hardware.
  • Provides support to direct reports, including Field Supervisors, Superintendents, and direct labor crews.
  • Serve as a day-to-day manager of the local service center.
  • Oversee the field supervisor and in house crews.
  • Award homes to sub vendors.
  • Partner with Human Resource Director and Director Field Operation on any issues including developing job descriptions, disciplinary, hiring, retention, etc.
  • Ensures compliance with assigned training required by ICG training platform.
  • Conduct monthly inventory of goods and materials.
  • Work with the yard/delivery team to make sure deliveries are pulled, scheduled, and delivered on time.
  • Work with Florence team to understand and track material deliveries and orders.
  • Work with Florence team to order transfer materials
  • Conduct all performance reviews for direct reports including annual and probationary reviews.
  • Issue appropriate disciplinary actions as needed for those not meeting expectations.
  • Oversee client support services.
  • Responsible for coaching, facilitating, and partnering with direct reports to handle employee relations issues that may arise.
  • Utilize recruiting and selection tools/processes to build team talent.
  • Delegates work according to team’s abilities and skill set.
  • Approves weekly timecards for all direct reports.
  • Approves accounts payable for weekly/monthly bills as well as subcontractors’ payroll.
  • Other duties as assigned by Director of Field Operations.

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s in Construction Management or 5+ years of project experience working in the construction industry
  • Pre-employment physical and drug screen will be required.
  • A background check will be required.
  • A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
