Metropolitan Companies is looking for a Construction Systems Analyst to join our team! The Construction Systems Analyst is responsible for building the data management and data processes needed to support the procurement department, as well as preconstruction coordination. This position reports to the Director of Construction Management but will work with the finance, accounts payable, and estimating teams on a daily basis. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with the IT department to build systems to effectively house, retrieve, and manage large volumes of data.
  • Build queries and analysis in excel and access in order to analyze a specific subset of that data. The end result being an analysis and business decisions from the data/analytics.
  • Send out bid packages and receive bid packages from trade partners/suppliers/subcontractors.
  • Build financial models to easily interpret bid packages and analyze across the competition. Reducing the amount of time required to review bids and award contracts.
  • Support the Director with additional operational and administrative tasks where necessary.
  • Schedule meetings: Pre-bid, pre-close, final close, turnover, vendor selection, job walks, etc.
  • Meet with and develop relationships with vendors.

Competencies:

  • Excellent financial and analytical modeling skills.
  • Ability to organize/analyze large volumes of data.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years’ construction experience.
  • 1+ years’ experience working in finance, accounting, or data management.
  • Knowledge of construction practices and building materials.
  • High proficiency in EXCEL
  • Proven track record of working with large groups or teams to implement changes resulting from financial analysis.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Construction Management.
  • Experience in Procore, Pro Est, Autodesk, ArchiCAD, or Marks Systems.
