JOBThe purpose of this position is to perform construction and maintenance work in support of the goals and mission of the Streets and Construction Programs in the Public Works Department.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Performs streets maintenance, repair, and improvement activities.Operates and maintains equipment and hand tools.Assists in masonry work such as mixing mortar, supplying materials, digging, setting forms, pouring concrete, etc.Assists with inclement weather and special event response.Assists in traffic control measures to provide a safe work zone, including proper placement of signs and cones.Skilled construction methods and practicesAsphalt patching, leaf collection and roadway construction maintenanceFamiliarity with street maintenance equipment Perform other tasks as assigned.
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
This position is safety sensitive and subject to random drug and alcohol testing. The position is driving essential and must conform to the Town's Safe Driving and Accident Policy and procedures. The Hiring Range for the Construction I - III positions are as followed: CW I: $31,959.00 - $42,341.00CW II: $35,235.00 - $46,681.00CW III: $40,789.00 - $54,039.00*Effective August 09, 2021, the Town will require either proof of vaccination for all employees or weekly testing of employees who have not verified their vaccination.
