Job description
The Assembler within the Consumables department will perform a variety of productions tasks in a manufacturing laboratory setting, including preparation of chemical lab materials to assembling of final product with the use of semi-automatic filling machines and manual assembly tasks. The work of the Consumables Assembler will be done according to instructions provided in the form of drawings, written documents, and other production communication tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform mechanical production assembly work of high complexity and work within very close tolerances
- Follow a quality-based sampling plan defined by a daily production schedule while maintaining production functions
- Ensure that all related directions and documentation are accurate by reviewing quality documents, BOMs, quality checklists, and other related documentation
- Work from quality control documents, and/or verbal and written instructions, with minimum supervision
- Retrieve material to ensure that stock items are available for production following material flow documentation across the Production Floor
Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Regularly use hand tools, calibrated tools, analytical instrumentation, computers, and telephones
- Follow all Environmental, Health and Safety regulation, as defined, including wearing personal protective equipment
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor/lead
The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, be reliable, and will demonstrate a commitment to teamwork. This candidate will have the ability to be flexible and respond appropriately to workload changes. They should be self-motivated and a good problem solver.

- High school diploma required

- Prior work experience in a manufacturing setting
- Computer literacy to be able to operate computer systems utilized in collecting data, access the business system, and making labels

- Compensation - The salary range is tied to the market for similarly benchmarked roles. The range is not an absolute, but a guide, and offers will be based on the individual candidate’s knowledge, skills, experience, and market conditions, as well as internal peer equity. Depending upon all the preceding considerations for the final selected individual candidate, the offer may be lower or higher than the stated range: $18 - $22/hr
