Haymarket Media, Inc. is seeking a Content Producer to join their Events Team. This position is based in our New York, NY office two days a week (Tuesday/Wednesday) and remote for the remainder of the week.
Job Overview:
The Content Producer leads the research, product development, launch, implementation, and execution of assigned events in the marketing, PR, advertising and communications industries. The position will focus on researching, writing compelling conference programs and associated copy, recruiting speakers and award jurors, running conferences on site and assuming ownership for the content strategy and execution.
In addition, the Content Producer is tasked with working with the Director of Events to identify, plan, and execute new event opportunities. This role may appeal to someone with a PR, journalism or storytelling background who wants to get into the exciting world of events. Please note: this is not a meeting planner or logistics role.
Responsibilities:
- Research events topics and program themes with senior executives
- Develop event agendas
- New program research and development by building relationships and conducting research on industry trends
- Copywriting and proofreading event content
- Marketing research analysis and sponsorship lead generation
- Execute and complete projects on time and on budget
- Onsite management of events
- Secure and manage relationships with senior level speakers and delegates in the marketing, PR, advertising and communications industry
- Liaise with other departments and attend external meetings
- Cultivate business relationships through targeted networking at conferences and brand events
- Act as an ambassador for the events and brand/s
- Recruit speakers and jurors for conferences and award programs
Skills and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Powerful communication skills
- 3+ years’ experience in conference production and/or journalism and content role
- Energetic, enthusiastic, quick learner with excellent organizational skills
- Ability to sell an original idea to senior managers and experience working in a team environment
- Superior time and project management skills - work deadlines and on multiple projects
- A proactive and tenacious personality
- Translate business issues into profit-focused, commercially-viable conferences
- Attention to detail and ability to effectively multi-task
- Computer and digitally savvy

- The salary range for this position is $70,000–$80,000. Compensation will be commensurate with experience, skill level, functional and/or industry knowledge, education level, certifications, as well as other qualifications.
