The Content Writer, Bids and Proposals (Math) will be responsible for corresponding with and building relationships with Subject Matter Experts and identifying new program-specific topics/details for our content database. The person hired for this role will work closely with the Proposal Management and Proposal Writing teams, as well as Subject Matter Experts, to identify ongoing content needs and review outgoing proposal drafts.

The impact you’ll have:

• Review/edit proposal drafts to ensure program-specific content is accurate and up to date
• Lead efforts in curating and writing content on new products and special topics for Qvidian
• Act as a subject-matter liaison for the team to build upon a foundation of Math content knowledge and pedagogy
• Collaborate with content team colleagues to update existing boilerplate to align with company and product updates
• Work with internal subject matter experts to obtain an understanding of product specifications and operational procedures in order to translate that information into compelling messaging for proposals
• Share information at weekly writers’ meetings to inform team of program updates
• Research, outline, and write documentation that is technically accurate and conforms to the CA proposal-writing style
• Assist with program-specific content and participate as a contributor/section leader for ongoing proposals/ rubrics, as needed

Who we’re looking for:

• 3+ years of experience writing, preferably in a K-12 education/publishing environment
• An outstanding communicator, gifted in the art of “selling through writing”
• Experience with Math curriculum and pedagogy
• The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while managing multiple tasks/projects concurrently
• Proven ability to work collaboratively and effectively across teams with competing needs
• Excellent attention to detail
• Fast and nimble research capabilities—ability to synthesize essential information from large, complex documents
• Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, Adobe Pro, SharePoint, and other standard business applications; Qvidian experience preferred
