The Continuous Improvement Manager must exemplify and meet expectations for Continuous Improvement, Safety, Quality, Supply, Cost and Leadership to deliver the site priorities and strategies in partnership with the Global Continuous Improvement Central Team.

As an Continuous Improvement Manager, you will lead and develop an efficient and autonomous Operational Excellence team and be an active member of the Site Leadership Team at the Hamilton site.

  • Partners with Site Leadership Team to define overall strategy for deployment, training and sustainability that aligns with site and global priorities to develop and sustain continuous improvement at all levels
  • Leads deployment activities and provides ongoing support by working closely with stakeholders to align mindset and to discover new opportunities to add value by optimizing the process and enhancing operational effectiveness
  • Coaches and trains leaders and/or employees in Lean and Six Sigma standards and ways of working to develop local skills and competencies, and promotes the benefits achieved
  • Ensures effectiveness of the Continuous Improvement Master Plan to govern and track deployment and maturity, demonstrating the financial and non-financial benefits associated with implementation
  • Manages day-to-day activities and drives progress and pace related to the site strategy and transformation initiatives
  • Defines the process, work plan, communication strategy and end-product in alignment with site strategy
  • Integrates signals and information collected through lean diagnostics and six sigma projects to optimize processes
  • Coaches site leaders and develops change navigators towards autonomy and consistencies of methodology
  • Identifies current and future areas of value creation for the business
  • Trains, mentors, coaches, and influences potential future OE “belt” candidates to increase skills and support continuous improvement mindset
  • Drives the right prioritization of site initiatives and projects to deliver on both short and long-term strategies through management of the site Portfolio Management Office (PMO)
  • Manages benchmarks both within and outside GSK to leverage best practices through collaboration with the Global CI Central Team and applicable networks (GSK OE, GPS, etc.) ​

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in continuous improvement and change management in a manufacturing environment
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification

Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • Master's Degree
  • Experience diagnosing and solving complex performance issues in a manufacturing environment
  • Project Management experience
  • Ability to work autonomously and decisively
  • Ability to manage multiple teams across multiple functions
