What we are looking for
A Contract Coordinator
Location
Join our team in Tempe, AZ - This is a Remote - Work at Home position for candidates in the Phoenix, AZ metro area only. Candidates must live in either Maricopa or Pinal County, Arizona ONLY.
Responsibilities
The Contract Coordinator assists upper management with tracking, approval, and execution of the necessary paperwork related to payer contracts. The contract & credentialing coordinator assists with credentialing of providers and facilities with all required entities to ensure correct credentialing and billing.
How you will make an impact
- Handle the in-network contracting process from initial contact with a payer to senior management approval and execution to ensure timeliness
- Process and send Letters of Interest, applications, credentialing information, contracts and other payer documents required for in-network contracting.
- Monitor and track submissions and status changes with payers and update internal records.
- Support executive leadership and colleagues with special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
- Coordinate items required by credentialing or other departments
- Ensure all contract documents are in place to be forwarded to the payer
- Follow up with payer on revenue cycle issues related to contract fee schedule and non-credentialed providers
- Maintain payer contract files – electronic and paper
- Run and distribute payer contract reports as required
- Ensure payer information is communicated to all departments appropriately
- Have a working knowledge of Credentialing Provider Enrollment process from Primary Source
- verification to completion of and submitting credentialing applications for both providers and facilities
- Obtain and supply information to correctly bill services
- Completing and submitting group applications for any new contracts
- Assist other members of team as needed
- Have a working knowledge of CAQH files for Providers
- Update processes as needed within Contracting Handbook
- Treats patients and co-workers consistent with the NextCare Mission Statement, Vision, Values and Performance Standards.
- Performs other related duties as assigned or described in Company policy.
Essential Education, Experience and Skills:
Education: Minimum of High School diploma or equivalent
Experience: General computer skills required including experience using Access, Word and Excel. Must
be highly motivated, communicative and knowledge of the entire credentialing process from A to Z for
multiple states
Valued But Not Required Education, Experience and Skills:
Experience: Three or more years of healthcare payer-provider in-network contracting experience with a
successful track record in maintaining all necessary documentation related to contracts. Prior
credentialing experience and knowledge of various Commercial and Work Comp. insurance company
credentialing procedures, to include time lines for credentialing.
Certification: Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) designation is preferred, not required.
