Position Overview


The Southern Nevada Health District (SNHD) announces an examination process to create an eligibility list to fill one (1) vacancy for the classification of Controller in the Financial Services Department. The eligibility list may be utilized to fill vacancies for this classification for up to four (4) months.
Responsible for managing, coordinating, and directing District-wide financial services, including payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.

Minimum Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance or a related field AND five (5) years of professional experience in accounting or finance operations, two (2) years of which were in a supervisory/managerial role; OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Desired Qualifications:
  • Governmental accounting/finance experience preferred
  • Grant knowledge and experience preferred
  • Financial Statement preparation and Audit Management experience preferred
  • Budget development and analysis preferred
