Position: Student Services - Student Support Professional at Syring Elementary (CI-Self Contained)

Hours: 37.5 hrs/week

Qualifications: Must have a degree OR 60 credit hours from an accredited college or university OR have taken or will take and pass the ETS Parapro test before being hired.

Job Functions: The SSSP will work with a cognitively impaired student who may require assistance with medical, behavior, or academic support. The SSSP works individually with the student and also with teachers and administrators.

• Takes guidance from the Lead SSP, student services teaching staff, and principal to ensure students are supported.

• Works closely with students who have disabilities and/or are at-risk, which may include but is not limited to medical needs, academic needs, or behavior needs.

• CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) training is mandatory for employment.

• Assist in the development of PBIS support structures

• Other medical, academic, and behavior support duties as assigned.

Wage: $15.00 per hour
