Job Summary

Ivy Ridge is currently hiring experienced cooks and kitchen operations for our Residential Care for the Elderly Facility located in downtown Sacramento. We are a fast-growing company with advancement opportunities.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Maintain a clean and organized workspace (mopping, wiping, organizing, disinfecting, sanitization, etc.)
• Adhere to ALL food safety and sanitation guidelines
• Manage and oversee overall food inventory
• Record and report food inventory on a weekly basis for restocking
• Help transfer incoming food stock from delivery to kitchen and properly store items in their designated locations
• Prepare and cook food according to recipes and menu items
• Prepare and cook food in a timely manner
• Prepare food (chop veggies/fruit, clean and prep proteins, measure out ingredients, etc.) to be ready for menus of the day
• Demonstrate full working knowledge of stoves, burners, ovens, and other kitchen utensils, appliances, and machinery, at times simultaneously
• Makes note of certain dietary needs and adjusts meal plan based on requirements
• Provide proper and consistent food portions to be served
• Report to work at a timely manner and schedule

Qualifications and Skills

• Must have Food Handler's Certification
• Must have recent COVID Testing and/or Completed Vaccine Card
• Current TB test and Physical
• Must be minimum of 19 years of age with legal work permit
• Holds the minimum education, experience and skills to perform responsibilities. At least 6 months of cooking or related experience required
• Must have and continue a clean Criminal Background report
• Clean result of Live Scan finger prints
• Understand, speak, read and write English clearly
• Understand how to read thermostat
• Have working knowledge in the operation of kitchen supplies, appliances, and machinery
• Ability to lift, push or pull 25 pounds
• Ability to bend, twist, stoop, kneel, and reach
• Ability to walk independently up and down a normal flight of 13-15 stairs
• Ability to withstand exposure to dust, mold, mildew and cleaning solutions
• Ability to adapt to various living environments and locations
• Ability to communicate with clients and co-workers in a friendly and congenial manner
• Must have reliable transportation

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $17.00 per hour

COVID-19 considerations:
All scheduled interviewees will be required to have masks on, answer a COVID questionnaire, and will have their temperature checked upon arrival.

• Sacramento, CA 95818: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
