Summary

Royston Group is a leading supplier for grocery, convenience store, retail and laboratory with 9 production facilities (7 domestic and 2 international). The business is owned by a Private Equity company and is growing through a series of acquisitions along with organic growth. The Royston Group has brought under one umbrella a group of industry leading businesses and is honing them into one company. This role will play a key role in driving this strategy of “One Royston”.

Under supervision of the Shop Supervisor, the material coordinator coordinate and expedites the flow of parts on the manufacturing floor.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates and expedites flow of materials, parts and assemblies between departments according to production schedule and/or department priority.
  • Review manufacturing paperwork and make sure all required parts are produced correctly, completed, and organized on parts cart. Transfer parts carts that are completed from FAB to FIN after inspection for completeness.
  • May arrange for repair or replacement of material or parts that are incorrect.
  • Pull parts required to complete Walmart projects. Parts are from FAB and Inventory membrane parts from Jasper as needed for Assembly to complete jobs. Does not include hardware.
  • Check off all items as they are completed in FIN and transferred to Pack Out to prepare for shipping. All finished items should be located into a prestaging area in pack out.
  • Provide list/drawings of missing parts or incorrect parts discovered or reported by FIN to Supervisor.

Skills/Qualifications:

Must wear steel toe shoes, eye and ear protection while on the floor. Follow all safety procedures while on the manufacturing floor.

  • Follow procedures in company handbook and other documents
  • Maintain professional attitude when approaching work assignments
  • Displays a sense of urgency towards completing assigned tasks
  • Assists in developing timely solutions to problems
  • Maintain outstanding attendance
  • Must be able to read a tape measure.
  • Must have great communication skills
  • Must have good written skills
  • Must be able to work at fast, steady pace to meet goals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
  • Ability to read and understand simple diagrams or blueprints
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds frequently, anything over that weigh limit ask for assistance. Must be able to push parts carts regularly


Experience and Education Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Quality Control experience preferred, not required

Working Conditions and physical requirements:
Working conditions are normal for a plant environment. Ability to walk or stand for extended periods of time. Use hands and fingers, able to bend, reach hand over shoulders, climb, push, pull, lift up to 30 lbs.
