Essential Functions
The Coordinator of Special Projects, Promotion, and social media (SPPSM) will be primarily responsible for managing strategic initiatives, compliance reporting, and special projects directed by the Dean of Students on behalf of the Division of Student Life and Wellbeing. The coordinator will direct the development and execution of the Division’s promotion, marketing, and communication efforts, including social media and the Division websites. This position will collaborate closely with the Dean of Students and other leaders to provide strategic support and project management for new and reoccurring initiatives that touch each of the Student Life and Wellbeing units. This position will also serve as a liaison to the NU Foundation in support of annual donor reporting.

This position is funded for two years. Continued employment beyond two years will depend on continued funding.

Work Schedule
M-F; 8-5

Additional Duties
| Responsible for evaluating & updating the Division of Student Life & Wellbeing’s mission, vision & values in coordination with UNO’s strategic initiatives. Coordinate special onboarding activities for all new Student Affairs employees in collaboration with Human Resources. Provide Student Life & Wellbeing with regular updates through Student Affairs In-Action publication and other venues. Coordinate well-being and morale activities at the Direction of the Dean of Students. Establish and manage regular focus groups for stakeholders in Student Life and Wellbeing to ensure the Division is meeting its commitments.
| In close coordination with unit directors, responsible for overseeing comprehensive and consistent year-end reports, marketing, and communication efforts, including social media and website updates. Assist units with recruitment materials, event promotion, and other needs as requested. This position will serve as the primary liaison to MarComm.
| In close coordination with unit directors and the NU Foundation, responsible for overseeing comprehensive and consistent donor reporting.
| In close collaboration with Conduct and Community Standards, the Recovery Community, and Public Safety, oversee compliance reporting to ensure timely and accurate dissemination of information to stakeholders
| Coordinate regular, inclusive professional development & wellness to enhance and maintain high morale within the Division.
| Other special projects as assigned by the Dean of Students

Required Qualifications
Required Education: Bachelor’s degree

Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills and the demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with a variety of stakeholders including students, staff, faculty, and community partners. Knowledge of student leadership development, social change theory, project management, and student programming. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as the ability to work in collaboration multiple constituents across the Division of Student Life & Wellbeing, Academic Affairs, and Business & Finance. Must have comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with HTML or other code-related software for websites. Willingness to learn new media technologies as needed for the position. Highly organized and an initiative-taker.

Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Experience: Two years of experience with program management or event management in an education setting. Experience in supervision, training, and implementation. Experience with HTML or other code-related software for websites. Willingness to learn new media technologies as needed for the position. Highly organized and an initiative-taker. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with HTML or other code-related software for websites.

$62,000 - $65,000
