United Health Services is seeking a full-time Coordinator Resident Care (Nurse Manager) for our skilled nursing facility at Senior Living at Ideal in Endicott, NY. In this role, you will be an integral part of the care teams within the senior living environment. United Health Services proudly offers competitive compensation and wide-ranging benefits that include health, dental, and vision insurance, tuition assistance, career development opportunities, and paid time off.As a Resident Care Coordinator and Nurse Manager at UHS Senior Living at Ideal, you will direct the day-to-day nursing activities on your unit in accordance with federal, state, and local nursing standards and the guidelines, policies, and procedures of Senior Living at Ideal and the Nursing Department. You will also ensure the adequate supervision of staff as you work alongside our Medical Director to promote a caring and healing environment for our senior residents.
Today’s nursing home patient profile matches the hospital patient of yesterday, so highly skilled RNs are needed to help our residents remain as healthy as possible. This high-acuity environment allows for nursing skills such as infusion therapy and advanced wound care to be used on a daily basis.
Key Responsibilities and Expectations
Direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing unit to ensure that the highest quality of care is maintained at all times
Ensure that staffing is available for each shift and monitor staff attendance in accordance with policy so that quality of care is maintained
Provide direct nursing care and perform all nursing functions in the absence of an RN per UHS Senior Living at Ideal policy
Ensure that all required documentation by nursing personnel is done accurately and in a timely manner as required by regulatory agencies and United Health Services’ policy
Report incidents to the Director of Nursing and/or nursing supervisors and incident reports for completeness and accuracy; follow up with investigative/corrective action as necessary
Coordinate nursing services with other resident services to ensure continuity of residents’ total care plan
Assist in the development of the interdisciplinary care plan for all residents assigned; evaluate care plans on an ongoing and regular basis and update the problems, needs, goals, and approaches as required
Assess residents’ status/needs on a daily basis and ensure that all personnel involved in providing care to residents are aware of the care plan and its implementation
Position Qualifications
Minimum:
New York State Registered Nurse License
Three years of clinical experience
One year of management or supervision experience
Preferred:
Three years of clinical experience in long-term care, geriatrics, or rehabilitation
