This finance role is the team lead for the corporate function finance operating team organized across the Americas. There is approximately €400m of gross cost, 1,400 headcount, 600 cost centers and 33 AREs that require efficient reporting and operating activities. In addition to this, the role is part of the Americas Finance leadership team providing valuable input and partnering to help drive improvements, while being a high visibility position due to the importance of the Global RBA organization.
The specific responsibilities assigned to the position (but not limited to) are:
- Coordinate finance team to ensure delivery of operating activities and targets.
- Provide leadership and performance development for team members to help them grow.
- Accountable for overall “Americas” operational topics for all countries, AREs for corporate functions.
- Manage relationships with Americas Function Controllers and Global Operational Hubs to provide appropriate transparency.
- Work closely with America’s Corporate Function Leadership team to share best practices and identify synergies across boundaries.
- Responsible for monthly/quarterly financial reporting for corporate functions to provide transparency by Region, HUB, Country and Function for actuals compared to targets.
- Develop timelines and controller input requirements to ensure the America’s meet local, global function financial requirements for actuals and planning.
- Set up efficient process like ISAs, Charging, SAP reports and forecast inputs to ensure efficient regional, global operating activities.
- Ensure that operational structures are in place and adhered to (SAP Cost Centers, WBS Elements, movement of cost, settlement of cost elements) and identify, implement simplification.
- Manage and oversee the financial processes and training for the regional corporate function team.
- Provide reporting for region to allow cost controlling for both the p&L and balance sheet, plus other key objects like cost centers, wbs, time-booking adherence.
- Drive digitalization solutions across the region, global structure to improve process effectiveness and cost.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in finance field
- Candidate must have 8+ years of experience in related field
- Successful candidate has strong analytical capabilities paired with result and quality orientation
- Candidate is self-determined, always looking into improved ways of doing business
- Demonstrated ability to bring the benefits of finance to solve business issues and manage cost
- Travel up to 20% (domestic/international)
- Digitalization experience in topics like tableau, alterex, SAP cloud analytics
- Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers
