Major Food Group, the team that brought you Carbone, is hiring an experienced Corporate Pastry Chef to join our growing team!
MFG is hiring experienced Pastry Chef with a strong work ethic to help set and maintain the highest standards of cuisine and professionalism.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, developing creative pastries and desserts for different outlets
- Controlling food and labor costs; controlling par levels of mise en place
- Prepare, clean and organize ingredients for use in the kitchen
- Ensure the kitchen is clean and sanitized at all times
- Oversee a team of junior pastry cooks and other staff members as necessary
- Maintain up to date knowledge about pastry arts and ingredients
- Carry out administrative duties to maintain an efficient workspace
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in high volume and fine dining restaurants preferred but not required
- Culinary diploma with a concentration in Pastry Arts or equivalent in experience strongly preferred
- A solid understanding of all aspects of a Pastry Department operation
- Team-orientated and positive attitude
- Strong communication skills a must

Compensation: $100,000 - $120,000 annually based on experience
