THE ROLE

Cognizant is its People! We’re seeking a Recruitment Manager to join our Talent Acquisition team. As an experienced recruiter that thrives in a consultative, client-centric environment, you’ll execute full lifecycle recruiting to attract highly skilled talent for our business, with a focus on hiring technical and consulting professionals.

We’re looking for someone who has a passion for recruitment, builds rapport and understanding with each candidate, and believes that hiring manager experience is key to successful execution. As a member of our team, you’ll be responsible for a high volume of requisitions, handling sophisticated client groups, and assessing and attracting candidates in a competitive market. You’ll help and build the recruitment muscle for the Cognizant Consulting business, and you’ll be a key member of a team that is helping companies modernize technology, reimagine processes, and transform experiences so they stay ahead in a fast-changing world. Responsibilities

  • Manage full life-cycle recruitment from demand gathering through sourcing, screening, interviewing, assessment, offer extension, acceptance and on-boarding for lateral candidates
  • Support hiring for Cognizant Consulting & other Digital Business groups; source and identify candidates for high- touch roles such as Management Consultants, Technical Consultants, DevOps Consultants, Enterprise Architects, Solution Architects, Design Researchers, Marketing, and more
  • Be an ambassador for the organization’s brand and values; promote Cognizant as an employer of choice
  • Lead creative and strategic candidate sourcing plans to provide a diverse and high-caliber pipeline of talent across all industries, especially Consulting, Technology, and Professional Services
  • Create offer approvals, provide all relevant documentation, and communicate offers to candidates
  • Work across US and Canada roles; understand local laws and benefits in each country
  • Follow the process for Recruitment, HR, and Operations; take accountability for learning new processes as assigned and remain in compliance with TAG (Talent Acquisition Group) and company policies
  • Use all available tools, including outreach initiatives and candidate pipeline creation for future hiring needs; create sourcing plans drive to successful outcomes
  • Maintain accuracy of data in Applicant Tracking System (ATS); assist in reporting and data integrity
  • Communicate directly with the business, provide decision support, and manage high-level stakeholders

Qualifications

  • 2 - 5 + years of recruitment experience (in-house, agency, or a combination of both) or equivalent HR or professional services experience; the ability to source, interview, and assess in-demand talent
  • This role requires interfacing with sophisticated candidates who are frequently leaders in their field; a level of confidence and the willingness to learn and upskills about new areas of expertise and will be key
  • A proven track record of recruitment of professional, technology, and consulting roles including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and closing candidates
  • The ideal candidate will have a background hiring Management Consultants and/or Technical Talent; we will also consider candidates who can quickly learn and are motivated to take on more an invest in their career in recruiting at Cognizant; being a self-starter is key in this environment and you will also have a lot of support from your team along the way
  • Proficient with various searching techniques and have worked on popular internet job portals
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; the ability to manage candidate and stakeholder expectations on tight timelines and communicate clearly and kindly through phone, video, email, and IM
  • Showing up consistently as self-starter who thrives in a team environment that delivers Talent Acquisition services to multiple stakeholders with frequently evolving business requirements
  • Experience working in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial work environment; knowledge of or experience in a large company is a plus or the desire to learn the innerworkings of a matrixed organization
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent amount of related work experience in a related field
