Job description
Position Summary: The Corporate Safety Manager will be charged with ensuring the wellbeing of all EG America's team members, guests and service providers by creating and implementing safety programs that meet or exceed all health and safety regulations. The incumbent will drive a culture of safety throughout all functional areas of EG America by actively partnering with both internal and external customers. .
Core Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):
- Actively assist in the identification, mitigation, and resolution of all safety related matters across the organization.
- Serve as the SME on workplace safety for the organization.
- Review store level safety challenges to identify potential root causes and determine proper corrective actions.
- Create and partner with the training department to provide training for all team members on safety related policies, procedures and regulations.
- Advise on safety issues and compliance for current and new company initiatives.
- Regularly inspect all business units to verify company compliance with relevant safety regulations
- Establish the path and criteria to resolve any safety related issues that have led to or may lead to regulatory action by OSHA or other federal, state or local regulatory bodies.
- Continuously monitor and analyze incident reports, safety metrics and identify any trends.
- Assist in maintaining compliance registers and logs
- Develop, implement and maintain near miss/incident investigation programs for responsible business unit(s)
Working Relationships: Ability to collaborate with internal and external customers; meeting their needs in a timely manner. Ability to lead, collaborate and work effectively in a team environment.
Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree in occupational safety, safety engineering or other safety related discipline
Preferred Education:
Minimum Experience: 3-5 years safety experience with at least 2 years of managerial experience.
Preferred Experience: Experience in C-store, foodservice, QSR, retail or restaurant corporate safety.
