- This role can be permitted to work with a Hybrid Schedule. Expectations are to work remotely 2 days per week. Onsite days are expected 3 days per week. This is after some initial onboarding and training.

Summary:
The Senior Cost Accountant/Analyst reports to the Assistant Controller. The Senior Accountant/Analyst position is responsible for month-end, including account reconciliations and financial reporting. In addition, the analyst will manage the site standard cost system and process to set annual standard rates. The position also provides overall costs and manufacturing support to improve operational performance. May work on other projects as assigned by the Assistant Controller.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain internal controls and account reconciliations for site to ensure appropriate inventory valuation and safeguards.
- Develop cost standards and annual financial plan for assigned production facility.
- Lead site review and understand growth/performance of site and analyze variances of actuals vs plan/forecast.
- Analyze manufacturing variances and work with operations team to address issues.
- Record JV’s & expenses timely and accurately in accordance with GAAP during the monthly closing process.
- Prepare monthly financial statements, reports, and records by collecting, analyzing and summarizing account information.
- Responsible for all aspects of the general ledger.
- Prepare account reconciliations, including intercompany reconciliations
- Research and reconcile all discrepancies.
- Process transactions for new intercompany product line
- Responsible for fixed asset processing and reporting, ensuring accuracy of sub-ledger details.
- Follow internal controls and assist in SOX compliance testing.
- Aid in preparation of external audit schedules and internal financial reporting.
- Perform financial, profitability and working capital analysis on a requested basis.
- Provide support to internal customers as needs arise, including ad-hoc financial analysis, and special projects.
- Document policies, procedures and workflow for assigned areas of responsibility.
- Cross-train and serve as back-up for other functions within the department
Minimum Qualifications
: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)
- Experience with fully integrated ERP systems - Oracle R12 (or similar software), including HFM consolidation.
- Strong Microsoft Office computer skills – Advanced Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to prepare well-constructed spreadsheets demonstrating a high degree of financial acumen and visual.
- Be accountable for work, make suggestions for process improvements and function as a team player.
- Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently with minimal daily direction from management to accomplish objectives and deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Flexible and adaptable, with a hands-on, rollup the sleeves attitude.
- Interfaces with all levels of management.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- At least 2 years of experience.
- Must have an Accounting Degree or equivalent experience in a highly diverse manufacturing environment.
- CPA is a plus
- Experience with fully integrated ERP systems - Oracle R12 (or similar software), including Hyperion Financial Management reporting systems
- Strong Microsoft Office computer skills – Advanced Excel (Pivot tables, vlookups, Macros, etc.), Word, Outlook, PowerPoint.
- Experience with Power BI and Power Query are a plus
- Ability to prepare well-constructed spreadsheets demonstrating a high degree of financial acumen and visual appeal
- Excellent communication skills, detail oriented and flexible.
- A sense of urgency with the ability to meet communicated schedules and deadlines.
- Adherence to policies, procedures and strong knowledge of GAAP.
- Be accountable for work, make suggestions for process improvements and function as a team player.
- Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently with minimal daily direction from management to accomplish objectives and deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously

Wabtec provides a competitive total compensation package that includes a comprehensive employee benefits program.
Wabtec also contributes Annual and Matching contributions to your 401(k) account to help your savings grow. Each pay period, Wabtec will match 100% of your contribution up to a maximum of 3% of your eligible compensation. Wabtec also will make an Annual Contribution of 3% of your compensation, whether or not you contribute your own funds to the Savings Plan. That’s a total of 6% of your annual compensation in Company-provided contributions!
