SGI Global is seeking a COVID Fraud Analyst to support the United States Attorney's Office (USAO) for the Northern District of West Virginia

In response to the economic impact of the COVID pandemic, the United States established various programs to provide financial assistance for those affected by the crisis. These programs included the Cares Act and the Paycheck Protection Program (among others) that provided federal monies to individuals and businesses. Unfortunately, a substantial amount of fraud occurred in which funds were wrongfully and criminally obtained through various schemes. The United States Attorney's Office has made the pursuit and criminal prosecution of those responsible a priority. The COVID Fraud Analyst will assist in gathering, organizing and inputting evidence in databases to support allegations of criminal activity related to COVID relief programs. These criminal violations may include but are not necessarily limited to mail fraud, wire fraud, money laundering and identity theft.

Responsibilities

• Assist with COVID fraud cases;
• Gather information from databases;
• Input information into databases
• Other related duties as assigned and within scope.

Qualifications

• Four (4) year undergraduate degree
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain adjudication for the requisite background investigation
• Experience and expertise in performing the requisite services above
