The Guidance Center (TGC) is currently seeking an Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Team Leader to be the newest member of our innovative interdisciplinary team. TGC is a Community Mental Health Center serving Leavenworth, Atchison, and Jefferson counties in Kansas. Primary Duties of Crisis Team Leader:
- Ensure all services provided by the ACT Crisis Team are following KDADS ACT fidelity standards
- Assist in hiring, training, and professional development of ACT Crisis Team personnel.
- Provide outpatient individual, group, and family therapy to clients, including those assigned to the ACT Crisis Team
- Provide initial and on-going treatment planning and develop crisis prevention with assigned clients
- Provide comprehensive assessment of clients to ensure admission criteria are met. Assign clients to clinically appropriate services to be delivered by the ACT Crisis Team
- Coordinate and oversee 24-hour crisis stabilization services to clients assigned to the ACT Crisis Team to enable timely access to services necessary for crisis stabilization and with the purpose of diverting the client from hospitalization
Minimum Qualifications:
EDUCATION AND LICENSURE:
Master’s degree in Social Work, Clinical Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy or Professional Counseling, and licensure by the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board as a LMSW, LMLP, LMFT, LPC, LSCSW, LCP, LCPC OR LCMFT by the first day of employment
EXPERIENCE:
Required: one-year post-masters clinical experience in a mental health setting
Preferred: one year experience in program management and supervision and primary leader of staff, experience with the Kansas system of community-based mental health care and associated evidence-based practices, and prior experience as a case manager for SPMI adults.
