TITLE: CRS House Manager
JOB SUMMARY: The CRS House Manager provides daily operational program management, behavioral plan adherence monitoring/reporting, and assigned management tasks including monthly direct care supervision. The CRS House Manager will provide assistance maintaining the designated per diem pool, assist in program supervision needs and manage the day-to-day operations of assigned CRS residential program(s) in all areas of program administration, individual services, family services, and staff training in collaboration with the CRS House Managers, Associate House Coordinator, Program Coordinator, and Administration. The CRS House Manager is responsible for evaluation, progressive instruction and/or development of CSC staff assigned to the CRS site. This position may involve physical intervention through protective hold, utilizing Physical/Psychological Management Training (PMT) in accordance with CT state regulations as well as agency procedure. This is a full-time, 12-month position requiring a flexible schedule dependent upon the needs of the program and department which includes early mornings, evenings, weekends and/or holidays. The CRS House Manager will be on call as needed dependent upon the needs of the department. This position reports directly to the Program Coordinator or designated Administrative Manager. Based on the needs of the department/agency, this position is assigned to the CRS department and as such can be reassigned to a different CRS site or agency site at any time.
DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES, AND CONDUCT
  • Act as case manager to individuals residing in the CRS including but not limited to ensuring their records, needs, goals, and care meet the standard of the Agency, accreditation body and funding source(s) at all times.
  • Develop in home program(s) which foster individual growth and development of each person we serve.
  • Write Individual Program Plans according to the needs of the individual. Submit plans according to DDS requirements/completion guidelines.
  • Maintain/ensure that staff maintain timely, accurate and consistent records at all times. Submit data, attendance records, and reports
  • Ensure electronic data, encounter notes, and incident reports are accurate, entered in a timely manner and are complete.
  • Provide direct on-going supervision to assigned CRS direct care employees including but not limited to; conducting monthly documented supervision, writing/presenting performance evaluations and interventions, disciplinary action completing on-going training and development focused on improving skills necessary to properly operate within CRS/Adelbrook and providing the best care to the individuals served.
  • Review and approve incident reports and follow up as needed according to requirements/completion guidelines.
  • In collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, including the family/guardian of the individual served, assist in overseeing the implementation of DDS Individual Program Plans, Behavior Support Plans and Nursing Protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with DDS QSR documentation and responsibilities.
  • In collaboration with the Human Resource Department and Program Coordinator/CRS Administration recruit and hire, train, supervise and evaluate staff according to requirements/completion guidelines.
  • Provide management to assigned cluster’s per diem pool including but not limited to; maintaining updated contact records, maintaining training records and compliance to agency standards, ongoing direct/indirect evaluation and retention focused supervision.
  • Assist Program Coordinator/Administration with ensuring CRS individuals receive quality services that comply with standards and regulations of DDS, Council on Accreditation, Adelbrook and the CRS Department.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with funding source(s), DDS Case Managers, Parents/Guardians, co-workers, and stakeholders/constituents.
  • Collaborate with CRS program behaviorist(s), nurse and COTA to ensure program and treatment services are aligned and program staff are adhering to expressed plans/guidelines.
  • Coordinate day program and scheduling of day program staff for any individual in the home receiving individualized day program services through Adelbrook.
  • Ensure trainings of all direct care staff assigned are current and maintained per agency requirements.
  • Will work as direct care CSC when needed to avoid program overtime hours as needed or directed by Administration and/or in situations when the program is out of ratio.
  • Work collaboratively with agency business office and Program Coordinator to monitor CRS household budget expenditures. Submits/completes financial audits on time. Ensure compliance with the CRS budget.
  • Submit payroll edits, time off requests and time card approvals by expressed completion dates.
  • Provide overnight, weekend, and weekday on-call responsibilities as needed and dependent upon the program’s needs for assigned CRS House(s).
  • Complete audits of program documentation (as required by agency procedure, COA standards, DDS standards, and/or other funding sources) for assigned houses to ensure compliance with agency/funder/accreditation outcomes.
  • Adheres to the expressed and/or assigned deliverables and completion.
  • All other duties assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
GED or high school diploma required. Sixty college credits, an attained Associates Degree or Bachelor’s degree in related field strongly preferred.
Must have at least five (5) years of experience working with individuals with IDD, ASD and/or complex behavioral profiles. Must additionally have at least two (2) years of experience directly supervising employees within a DDS or DCF facility (or similar as determined appropriate by agency administration). A positive attitude, demonstrated good judgment, the ability to develop a professional rapport with individuals we serve, the staff/contractors we employ, and all other stakeholders are requisite. This includes willingness to interact and work daily with individuals personal care which may include toileting, feeding, cleaning and all other activities of daily living skills(ADLs).
A valid driver’s license and excellent driving record are requisite. Must be willing to learn and successfully carry out functions included within Individual Program Plans. Must be able to function as a part of a team, to demonstrate flexibility in meeting program and individual needs as they occur.
Must be able to successfully attain and maintain certification in DDS Medication Administration and functionally collaborate with agency medical oversight regarding MedCert Program oversight.
