Count Room Supervisor

General Position Summary: *Responsible for Count Room operations and personnel to include all aspects of performance management and corrective action, in cooperation with the Cage Slots Operations Director. Ensures that all aspects of the count are performed consistent with the policies and procedures and governing regulations.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Count Room Team

*
Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:*

• Maintains the supply inventory for the Count Room team
• Maintains the Count Room packages with all changes
• Prepares the rotating schedule and ensures it is reviewed by the Cage Slots Operations Director to ensure labor budget is managed efficiently
• Oversees the control of the key and the key log
• Works with the Cage Slots Operations Director to write performance evaluations and makes recommendations
• Trains the Count Room Team Members in all aspects of the count.

Secondary Functions:*

• Work closely with other Cage Slots Operations and Count Room personnel
• Prepares corrective action forms in response to Notification of Error and violations
• Holds regular team meetings in cooperation with the Cage Slots Operations Director
• Advises the Cage Slots Operations Director of equipment concerns
• Other duties as assigned

Specific Job Skills:*

• Performs all duties within the rules and regulations of Cage Slots Operations consistent with Gaming Ordinance, State Compact, Appendix X & X2, MICS and employee handbook
• Ability to handle large volume cash transactions and documents regularly and accurately
• Ability to use ten-key
• Proficient with computer knowledge
• Good math skills
• Able to work closely with others in a team situation
• Able to follow and give clear concise directions

Education and/or Experience: *High school diploma or GED required. One year of bookkeeping, management or accounting or equivalent training, preferred. Previous supervisory experience preferred.

Job Scope: *Performs duties as directed with minimal supervision, operating from established Cage Slots Operations policies and procedures and according to gaming regulations. Decisions are made within general company policy constraints but require some independent decision making. Position has access to Cage/Slots and Count Room areas. Other areas must have escort.

Job Conditions: *Working conditions include working in a small confined space with other personnel for extended periods of time. Other conditions will also include frequent interruptions, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50 lb. while standing, twisting, or bending. Must be able to stand and/or sit for extended periods of time.
