Cultivation Technician

Full time (non-exempt) Commensurate with Experience

The Cultivation Technician is responsible for assisting with all aspects of PAOFW’s cultivation operations from seeding to harvest. This position will be located at our facility in Duncannon and serve as a critical member of the cultivation team.

Key responsibilities include:

· Adhere to daily maintenance and monitoring of all plants; immediately report concerns to a supervisor to ensure overall health of the crop.

· Filling, watering, and trimming of plants.

· Verify labels are placed properly with coordinating plant.

· Ensure daily compliance with policies and procedures including but not limited to state compliance, security and safety protocols, and standard operating procedures as well as internal trainings.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

The successful candidate will possess:

· High School Diploma or GED required.

· Experience in a horticulture environment preferred but not required.

· Self-motivation including an ability to learn and improve.

· Demonstrated verbal communication skills.

· Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as an individual contributor.

· Ability to work all shifts, as needed, and maintain punctuality as well as attendance.

Physical Requirements of the Position

This is a labor-intensive position, working in a production environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, talk, and hear. The employee is required to walk, stand for extended periods of time, and crouch/stoop. The employee will be required to use hands and fingers to operate, handle, and/or feel objects, tools, and/or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee will be required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee must be physically capable of performing manual labor tasks required for the proper management of grow facility, including meeting activity performance counts, lifting/carrying product totes, pushing carts, moving and making adjustments to equipment, etc. Will be required to wear varying degrees of personal protective equipment for specific tasks (some tasks require partial PPE; some will require full PPE). Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
