JOB SUMMARY
The Cure Oven Operator is responsible for extracting slabs from ovens, performing quality inspections on cast product, applying mold release chemicals and insuring molds in use are free of contaminants.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Sand Excess epoxy mix from sides of slab
- Assure molds are free of contaminants and apply mold release chemicals
- Operate cure oven by extracting, inspecting and sanding cast products and other operations
- Shim molds and log adjustments in data base
- Extract epoxy-resin slabs from the oven using overhead crane
- Remove meniscus from edge of part
- Measure thickness by using caliper and communicate to data entry
- Load cure oven with material pulled from gel oven
- Inspect slab for surface defects, Document data in IPad, and write slab ID on the edge of the part
- Visually verify parts in the cure oven match the slab ID and location in database
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Ability to demonstrate comprehension of positional work instructions
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Capable of becoming forklift certified
- Operate heavy machinery including air hammer
- Required to wear full face respirator
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION:
High School Graduate or GED
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum/No Experience
Manufacturing environment 3 months preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to stand, stoop, bend, and reach overhead repetitively during 8 hour day.
Lift minimum 50 lbs. frequently

Pay: $18.20 - $19.40 per hour
