Position Overview: Custodians will be responsible for cleaning, light maintenance, and other miscellaneous duties in order to ensure all University facilities are maintained in a healthy, safe and sanitary manner that meets APPA standards.
Essential Job Functions:
- Clean and service restrooms, toilets, showers, water fountains, kitchen areas, laundry rooms, computer labs, study rooms, lounge areas, lobby areas, offices, and elevators
- Clean and maintain floors and stairs
- Trash removal and container maintenance
- Maintain entrances and including snow removal up to the main walkway
- Open facilities-weekdays
- Clean classrooms and offices
- Clean windows, vents, and walls
- Dusting
- Changing light bulbs
Qualifications:
- High school diploma (or equivalent)
- Friendly demeanor
- Ability to interact well with a wide variety of people
- Team and customer service oriented
- Trustworthy and honest
- Self-reliant
- Basic computer skills

Work Schedule: This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Forty work hours per week will be the general rule. However, depending on the business needs of the University, additional hours may be required.
