Shenandoah Valley Social Services is seeking individuals who are detail and results oriented to maintain building cleanliness and orderly conditions.
Employees perform medium to heavy cleaning duties, such as mopping, wiping, sweeping, and vacuuming to clean floors, using a broom, mop, vacuum cleaner, and sometimes powered scrubbing and waxing equipment to shampoo rugs and wax floors; washing walls and glass, and gathering and disposal of trash. Washing and sanitizing chairs, tables, desks, windows, woodwork, and other furniture and equipment and polishing furniture; scrubbing and cleaning restroom areas and replenishing supplies; light laundry duties; maintaining an inventory of supplies and recommending the need of ordering additional supplies.

This is a part-time evening position with no benefits.
Minimum Qualifications
Working knowledge of: cleaning techniques and proper use of cleaning chemicals and solutions; safety rules and regulations as related to job; and principles of providing customer service.
Skill in operating cleaning equipment and small hand tools.
Demonstrated ability to: follow oral instructions; perform a variety of cleaning tasks; tolerate contact with a variety of cleaning products and solutions; lift heavy objects; stand for extended periods of time; and ability to perform physical and manual labor.
