 Overview: 
 
									
   The Customer and Market Intelligence Director leads planning, execution and evaluation of projects, initiatives and activities aligned to AltaMed’s customer experience and market research and analysis initiatives. In this role, the Customer and Market Intelligence Director will collaborate with clinical, operational and administrative leaders to support the deployment and execution of projects and initiatives, from qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis to planning and evaluating the implementation of process improvements and growth strategies that support achieving customer and market goals. Position responsibilities include working with analysts for data mining, analysis and reporting of customer measures and analytics, analyzing and reporting market data, collaborating with operational and functional leaders for planning and implementing improvements to the customer experience, and serving as an internal knowledge expert on customer and market data, needs and requirements. Additionally, the Director will be a leader within the larger strategic development program across the enterprise to support the development and implementation of AltaMed’s strategic planning initiatives. 
 
Responsibilities: 
 - Own all aspects of Customer and Market Intelligence dashboards from design to training for key stakeholders
- Identify and collect appropriate customer, competitor, market, economic, financial and operational data.
- Experience working in a dynamic organization where working across boundaries and leading through influence are critical to success
- Create consumer empathy and understanding across AltaMed’s business team by effectively communicating existing consumer understanding and identifying actionable learning needs.
- Collaborate with other departments to create pathways on how we build deeper and longer relationships with customers.
- Create a centralized hub for customer learning across AltaMed’s business enterprise.
- Work with operations on the creation of service enhancements for existing products and the identification of new products including the potential customer base for such products.
- Lead the creation of new segmentation approaches and market maps to inform strategic action for the enterprise in all functional areas
- Perform financial, statistical and qualitative data analysis of markets and competitors and translate data into executable and effective market and intelligence reports.
- Investigate, mitigate, and forecast emerging threats and trends.
- Responsible for “keeping a pulse” on the new product and service offerings of our key competition.
- Analyzes external health industry benchmark data to determine AltaMed’s comparative performance in clinical quality, cost efficiency, and patient experience.
- Work with internal customers to enhance their use of strategic analysis and market and competitor intelligence.
- Share learnings with relevant teams to aid in strategic planning.
- Leads and manages data analysis projects, including use of quantitative or predictive analytics that support AltaMed’s integration, growth and maximizing value strategic initiatives.
- Assists members of AltaMed’s Business Intelligence community and other departmental team members in accessing and analyzing health care data and information
- Cultivates and maintains partnerships and collaborations with internal and external business partners.
- Lead a team of patient experience specialists and customer and market analysts
- Develop subject matter expertise across relevant operating requirements, tools, policies and processes in order to effectively coach and lead team
- Develop culture of collaboration and engagement
- Empower team members with skills to improve their confidence, knowledge, and communication skills.
- Responsible for planning and overseeing projects to ensure they are completed in a timely fashion and within budget.
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Health Administration, Business Administration, Computer Science or related field required with emphasis in analysis or statistics required. Master’s degree in similar fields
- A minimum of seven (7) years of technical data analysis experience, including both qualitative and quantitative data, in a consumer driven environment or
- A minimum of three (3) years leading engagement of cross-functional work teams in the use and consumption of customer and market data to process improvements and business
- A minimum of three (3) years’ experience designing and implementing qualitative and quantitative research studies and Project.
