Job Description


We are looking for a dynamic individual to fill the role of Customer Quality Engineer. The person would be the focal person for all customer quality related matters including interfacing with the customer, investigating issues and working with internal teams to identify solutions. We are looking for an innovative, independent and flexible self-starter that is up to the challenge of doing this job and joining our growing company.

> KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for managing customer quality issues, interfacing with customer quality contacts and customer quality reports and presentations as required
  • Implement quality planning, control plan, FMEA, inspection methodology, and root cause analysis.
  • Collaborate with Operations and Engineering to improve efficiencies through the improvement of in-house and supplier manufacturing processes, product design/quality/reliability.
  • Collaborate with Operations and Engineering to identify root cause and implement corrective/preventive actions to address customer issues
  • Developing and managing KPI's, databases and countermeasures as required for continuous improvements
  • Team member for supplier activities relating to supplier quality, supplier corrective actions
  • Responsible for the revision of internal procedures as applicable to implement a comprehensive customer quality management program
  • Responsible for continual improvement activities to enhance the quality system, such as 5S, Kaizen, Lean manufacturing, SPC.

Qualifications
  • At least 7 years’ experience in the electronics industry – preferably in the power supply design and manufacturing industry
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to work independently and successfully in a team environment.
  • Expertise with modern quality principles; including 8D, 5 Whys, fish bone, FMEA’s
  • Expertise in data analysis and statistical process controls
  • IPC standard electronic experience and metal fabrication process.
  • Some travel across North America or Asia may be required.
  • Minimum of a 4-year college education. Preferably Electrical/Electronic engineering.
  • Experience with Power Supplies and/or RF products
  • At least 5 years or more of relevant experience.
  • Excellent data analysis and MS PowerPoint presentation skills
