Cashier

Gil Turner’s Fine Wine and Spirits is seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic and detail-oriented person with some experience and knowledge in working with liquor products and merchandise for a full-time position.

Skills and Responsibilities:

• Provides a positive customer experience with fair, friendly, and courteous service.
• Registers sales on a cash resister by scanning items, itemizing, and totaling customers’ purchases.
• Resolves customer issues and answers questions.
• Bags purchases if needed.
• Processes returns transactions.
• Enters price changes by referring to price sheets and special sale bulletins.
• Collects payments by accepting cash, check or charge payment from customers and makes change for cash customers.
• Verifies credit acceptance by reviewing and recording driver’s license number: and operating credit card authorization systems.
• Balances cash drawer by counting cash at beginning and end of work shift.
• Provides pricing information by answering questions.
• Maintains checkout operations by following policies and procedures and reporting needed changes.
• Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Report any issues/problems to management immediately
• Contributes to team effort by performing other duties as assigned by management.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience working with liquor products and merchandise

• Readily adjust schedule, tasks, and priorities when necessary to meet business needs

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Shift:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Night shift

Weekly day range:

• Every weekend
• Monday to Friday
• Weekend availability
