Substitute Teacher Service, (STS) is looking for a Customer Service Representative for our busy, fast-paced Aston office. We are actively recruiting candidates with the proper credentials and training.
This position will start as soon as possible for candidates who meet the criteria described herein.
Customer Service Representative Job Description – The following are the key duties, tasks, and responsibilities that make up the essential functions of a Customer Service Representative:
- Answer incoming customer/employee phone calls/emails and take appropriate action for each.
- Learn the functions and back end of software programs so you can walk users through to achieve their specific goals.
- Prepare communications, such as emails, reports, and other correspondence.
- Manage school district accounts with daily substitute needs.
- Update customer/employee information in appropriate databases on a regular basis.
- Work with other departments to stay updated on knowledge of changes in requirements and pay rates.
- Manage daily clock in/out times for school districts.
- Responsible for maintaining a high level of professionalism with customers/employees and working to establish a positive rapport.
Customer Service Representative Requirements – The following are the skills, abilities, and other qualifications required to perform the role of a Customer Service Representative successfully:
- Strong computer skills.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work with various departments and foster team work.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Skills in database management and record keeping.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Must be able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
- Frequently required to sit and use their hands and fingers, to handle or feel and to manipulate keys on a keyboard and other office equipment.
- Occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
- Vocalization for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of verbal communication; hearing to perceive information at a standard range of verbal communication.
- Visual acuity for preparing and analyzing written or computer data, determining the accuracy and thoroughness of work, and observing general surroundings and activities. Vision abilities also required by this job include close vision.
- Other duties may be required that are not enumerated here that are part of the Customer Service Representative’s duties.
You will need to have the following in order to apply.
- High school diploma and/or higher education
- Microsoft Office proficiency (especially Word, Excel and Access)
- Internet usage of third-party software
- Technical and /or help desk experience required
- Resume and 3 letters of reference
- Reliable Transportation
Hours are from 6:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Employment Status: Full time.
Compensation: $16.00 per hour.
