We're ready to add 2 special people to our amazing Bourne's Energy Team in Lyndonville.

  • Answer phones in quick succession within 3 rings
  • Assist walk-in customers in an efficient, professional and friendly manner
  • Positively interact and communicate with internal and external customers (listening, speaking, writing)
  • Offer creative solutions to myriad dilemmas
  • Utilize Notes system and keep current
  • Post fuel tickets and work orders as needed
  • Answer questions regarding statements, invoices and SmartPay options & pricing
  • Accurately schedule and create fuel and/or service tickets/work orders
  • Open & Close office(s), including cash drawer, computer, etc.
  • Complete deposits by specified time as needed
  • Punctual regular attendance 35-45 hours weekly, plus on-call rotation
  • Positive, can-do attitude
  • Handle cash and other financial transactions
  • Able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and in quick succession
  • Able to work as part of a team and independently with little supervision
  • Participate in on-call, Saturday and alternate hours schedules as needed
  • Create customer accounts
  • Monitor and address company email boxes
  • Understand and follow CP-111 regulations and processes
  • Participate in customer retention
Requirements:

SKILLS – Excel, Word, keyboarding, Windows, standard office machines (scan/print/copy, adding machine, postage machine, etc.), general accounting skills, excellent communication skills, intermediate computer skills

ABILITIES – Friendly & welcoming, strong work ethic and loyalty, self-driven to complete tasks, good time management and prioritization, able to work within a team, good sense of humor, flexible and accepting of change, honest, able to accurately work on simultaneous tasks

WORK ENVIRONMENT – fast-paced office environment, temperature fluctuations in an older building, some person-to-person customer interactions (internal & external),

PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS – sit or stand at computer terminal 6-8 hours per day, reach w/hands and arms, answer 30-80 calls daily, perform simultaneous tasks, communicate (hear, talk, write)

LICENSING / CREDENTIALS - none

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE – previous customer service preferred

PERFORMANCE STANDARDS – annual review, attainment of annual goals established between supervisor and incumbent
