POSITION CONCEPT:

To greet and support the community while visiting HSCC. This position will provide customer service with professionalism, patience and with a “people-first” attitude at all times. The CSR serves as a dynamic liaison between the community and shelter staff. The CSR will be expected to uphold the mission of the Society and promote its goals.

Objectives of this Role

• Maintaining a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude at all times
• Welcome the community and assisting with their needs
• Answer all incoming calls and taking proper action
• Knowledge of the organization to communicate and coordinate with colleagues as necessary
• Understanding of the donation process and proper procedures
• Keep a clean and organized lobby and workstation

Skills and Qualifications

High school diploma, general education degree or equivalent

2+ years of customer service experience

Comfortable using computers

Ability to stay calm when customers are stressed or upset

Preferred Qualifications

Associate of Applied Science

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks, pay close attention to detail, work in an environment that is constantly changing with high pressure for results. Ability to meet frequent deadlines, work closely with others, be creative and maintain routine paperwork and record keeping.

Pay: $11.00 - $14.00 per hour
