Raytheon Technologies is soliciting candidates for a Cyber IA Implementation Engineer

The successful candidate will have prior experience with DoD programs and DISA STIGs, IA automation & NIST SP800-53 Risk Management Framework. The successful candidate will also have prior experience in troubleshooting and resolving IA automation deployment issues. Duties include, but are not limited to the following:


  • Perform activities in the areas of Cybersecurity / Information Assurance (IA) / System Security Engineering (SSE) in accordance with NIST SP 800-53 Risk Management Framework (RMF) for deployment of DISA STIGs using automation.
  • Apply risk management concepts to mitigate vulnerabilities in system security architectures


NOTE:
This position will be hired and based out of the factory location in Aurora CO; However, Daily support for the project for the day to day activities will be located at the customer facility at Schriever AFB in Colorado Springs, Colorado; so the ideal candidate must be willing to support daily activities at SAFB.


Clearance Requirements:
US Citizenship and a current Active DOD-Secret


Required Skills:

  • Working knowledge of Windows and Linux Operating System
  • Working knowledge of automation scripting languages; Bash, python
  • Working knowledge of automation tools, Chef, Ansible
  • Working knowledge of current Cyber technologies and experience with NIST 800 Series and DoD 8570 regulations and governing DISA STIGs and/or, SRGs
  • Strong knowledge of Certificate Revocation List (CRL) and how it used in DoD Government system
  • Experience with Digital Certificates and Certificates Authority (CA)
  • Experience with configuring and testing different types of hardware tokens (in DoD Gov System)
  • Experience performing CRL checking at various system checkpoints on the system using NPE certs
  • Experience performing negative testing of NPE certs on the system


Desired Skills:

  • DoD 8570 Certification is a plus
  • Experience writing test procedures is a plus
  • Robust conceptual and practical understanding of IT infrastructure designs, technologies, products, and services
  • Experience supporting IA automation (STIG deployment) using Chef automation scripts.
  • Effective interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to support complex organizational relationships
  • Excellent technical document preparation and verbal communication skills


Education:


Typically requires a BA/BS degree in Science Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) with focus in Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and 5 years of related experience.

In compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is $70,000 to $152,000; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.
