This position will start in August 2023.
Title: Daily Operations Coordinator
Location: Nutrition Services
Work Days: 200 days per year
Hours: 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. (includes 30 minute unpaid lunch break)
Standard Salary Position
Pay Grade 1C: $35,000 - $38,000/year (based on experience)
SUMMARY
Responsible for coordinating staffing needs in prep kitchens and satellite kitchens district-wide. This position supervises satellite managers, swing cook/servers and makes daily assignments.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Required: High school diploma, general education degree (GED), or equivalent
- Preferred: AAS in Food Service Management or related field
- Preferred: Previous experience with quantity food preparation and service
- Preferred: Supervisory experience
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS
- Required: ServSafe Manager certified or eligible to become certified upon hire
- Required: Valid driver’s license and documented good driving record and insurable by District insurance carrier
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervises satellite managers, swing cook/servers and satellite cook/servers.
- Visits schools on a regular basis to monitor service, sanitation, safety, and recordkeeping and compliance with program requirements of NSLP.
- Responsible for training of new employees in satellite kitchens and prep kitchens as assigned.
- Directs staffing needs for satellite and prep kitchens daily.
- Counsels employees on performance issues and makes recommendations regarding retention and termination.
- Interviews prospective employees as needed; makes hiring recommendations.
