Overview
Dairy Queen associates prepare customer orders, process transactions, clean the restaurant, and provide outstanding service to our guests.
Essential Functions
Essential Functions
- Greet guests, answer menu questions, and provide excellent customer service
- Set up & stock food service stations
- Prepare and cook food to order
- Follow recipes and presentation guidelines
- Comply with all food safety and sanitation regulations
- Follow & promote all company policies and procedures
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, dining room, and equipment
- Verify orders for accuracy
- Process customer transactions
- Assist with inventory and light maintenance
Basic Qualifications & Physical Requirements
- 14+ years of age
- Outgoing and friendly demeanor
- Ability to operate a touch-screen monitor and cash register
- Accurately count money and make change
- Communicate effectively in English (hear, speak, read, & write)
- Read and follow a series of instructions
- Safely lift 55 lbs. and carry short distances
- Stand and walk for 8+ consecutive hours
- Climb a stepstool, reach with arms, grasp with hands, bend, and kneel
- Withstand cold temperatures for short periods, such as when stocking freezers
- Count and weigh product; calculate basic math
- Use hands bilaterally and unilaterally for daily tasks
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening
