Essential Responsibilities:

We are looking for a Dairy Tech Specialist to provide exceptional member service according to the individual farm goals and needs. The role is a trusted advisor to dairy farmers in areas such adult and young animal herd nutrition and overall farm management.

• Become a key part of the producers farm management and decision making team
• Advise members with a goal towards optimum profitability
• Balance rations and provide technical service
• Make recommendations and evaluate financial information
• Prospect, pursue, and develop opportunities with new dairy farms
• Evaluate and pursue additional business opportunities with existing members
• Focus on dairy farms with 300 cows or more
• Identify opportunities to cross-sell for other areas of the business
• Support cross-divisional collaboration whenever possible
• Help out in other areas of the business as bandwidth allows
• Local and regional travel
• Other duties as assigned

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in dairy science, animal science, or related field
• Master’s degree in dairy science, animal science, or related field preferred
• 2-5 years of Dairy Nutrition experience preferred
• Experience with nutrition management software
• Clean driving record required
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Professional verbal and written communication skills
• Sales and service focused mindset
• Motivated to always exceed customer expectations
• Work well independently and leading a team
• Strong enthusiasm for building internal and external relationships
