Do you love the art of Dance and love to teach youth?
The Riverbrook Regional YMCA in Wilton, Connecticut is looking for Dance Instructors to teach Ballet, Tap, Hip Hop to youth ages Preschool – 8th Grade in our Dance program. We are looking for dedicated, passionate, and supportive instructors who enjoy teaching children.
Responsibilities:
· The responsibility of the Dance Instructor is to provide the highest level of dance instruction to all dancers in our program.
· Plan and execute a fun, educational, creative class.
· Ensure that each class includes Introduction, Review, Skill Development, Personal Growth, and Safety.
· Perform administrative functions to complete necessary program paperwork and assures participants have completed necessary participation paperwork.
· Physical ability to lead and participate in dance/fitness activities.
Qualifications
· 1 year (preferred) Dance instruction experience in one or more of the following areas:
o Creative movement
o Ballet
o Tap
o Hip Hop
· Degree in Dance preferred
· Group Exercise Certification preferred
· Strong communication skills and the capability to work with dance program participants and parents/legal guardians.
· Physical ability to lead and participate in dance/fitness activities.
· CPR / AED Certification
