Job description
  • The Datacenter Network Technician will focus on maintaining the technological integrity and functionality of the core datacenter network infrastructure components. Configure, maintain, and manage network devices to achieve optimal performance and maximum availability.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement and maintain datacenter switches and spine and leaf fabric, routers, Wi-Fi, and remote access systems
  • Participate in root cause analysis and recommend product enhancements or other appropriate actions to improve reliability and functionality
  • Perform customization and system administration for network management, task/project management, work group integration and documentation on core network technologies
  • Collaborate with the business on new hardware and software installations/upgrades
  • Analyze, recommend, and evaluate new hardware, software, and communications products to enhance functionality in support of the business
  • Create and implement designs for new or updated devices and configurations in the datacenter
  • Develop, maintain, and update a library of technical documentation
  • Work with cross-functional teams in the design and implementation of information technology
  • Provide Tier 3 network troubleshooting

Position Requirements:

  • Expert level datacenter networking knowledge and troubleshooting experience, including spine and leaf fabric environments
  • Relevant network certifications or equivalent: Cisco CCNA, CCNP, CCDE
  • Expert understanding of the TCP/IP Model
  • Proven experience with monitoring, network diagnostics and network analytics tools
  • Proven experience with Cisco network equipment (including Nexus)
  • Expert-level network troubleshooting skills
  • A comprehensive knowledge of switching, routing, IT schema’s circuits, VPN, DNS, and subnetting
  • Experience with VMware NSX and Dell VxRail, and datacenter management tools such as Cisco DCNM and VMware vNRI a plus
  • Experience with Palo Alto firewalls and F5 or VMware Avi load balancing a plus
  • The ability to effectively communicate to customers and coworkers

Job Related Experience

  • Requires 3-5 years’ hands on experience with administration, maintenance, and provisioning of with Cisco network equipment, including but not limited to routers, Nexus switches, wireless controllers, etc.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills and ability to engineer solutions
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $75,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
