Job Title: Data Center Operations

Location: Miami, FL (Onsite Position)

Duration: Full Time Permanent Position

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Support, troubleshoot and resolve issues as they relate to data transmissions, user reports, system access, system messages, and equipment failures, escalate when appropriate.
  • Support, troubleshoot and resolve issues as they relate to data transmissions, user reports, system access, system messages, and equipment failures, escalate when appropriate.
  • Monitor and report on all incidents impacting company-wide systems accessibility
  • Perform nightly backups and ensure data is recoverable
  • Monitor company-wide daily batch processing to support business operations
  • Perform backup tape counts and tape creation
  • Provide migrations support – bring applications down / up – manually stop / start jobs per owners request and troubleshooting as issues arise.
  • Complete system availability check list: DASD, back up Sync points, and ROBOT
  • Monitor data center environmental: AC units temperature readings, UPS, DC cameras, and generator.
  • Ensure DR backup times, replication times, and data management are achieved
  • Monitor Remedy for incoming incident tickets
  • Open incident tickets for issues (as required)
  • Trigger pager duty tickets (as required)
  • Process ship transmissions according to the Data Card schedule. (per procedure)
  • Verify transmission success in SandCastle workstation for each vessel
  • Monitor AS/400 systems (19) and ended of day processes
  • Monitor Robot/Network messages
  • Monitor Credit Card lines on Colonial
  • Monitor TWS, CES and TES for any issues
  • Monitor Mimix (data groups) for Production and DR systems
  • Work with ongoing request via Teams request from various ships/departments (Siebel, DW, Helpdesk, etc.)
  • Monitor and process AS400 migrations on production and non-production systems for hardware and software
  • Assist the IT Global Service & Support team with sending out broadcast messages after schedule maintenance is completed
  • Monitor/Process JDE QA and PY refresh/builds for the test systems for the JDEdward system
  • Assist and work with first level AS/400 support (reset user-ID’s, kill sessions, etc.)
  • Assist and work with second level AS/400 support team (CPU utilization, etc.)
  • After backups are completed, verify that backup completed successfully from DR site (I.B.M. BCRS) and mimix is restarted In Colonial, cancel all the printer messages (4103 and 4128)
  • Assist IBM Enterprise team dealing with PTF

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
