Position Title: Data Engineer
Position Location: 250 Coromar Drive, Goleta, CA 93117
Hours: Mon – Fri / 8:00am – 5:00 pm
100% telecommute position from anywhere in the U.S. reporting to Goleta, CA
Summary of Duties: Develop integrations with external resources (sFTP, API’s, etc.) to bring assets into the data warehouse. Create data pipeline monitoring automation. Produce custom datasets to enable Data Scientists and Data Analysts. Write and test production level code that can be deployed within the company’s existing cloud framework. Collaborate in designing and developing the next generation of our AWS data infrastructure.
Qualifications: Bachelor’ degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field; and 1 year of experience in software engineering, data analytics, data engineering, or any combination thereof.
Applicants must also have demonstrated experience with:
- 1 year of experience coding and designing in Python and SQL
- 1 year of experience designing and deploying cloud data infrastructure.
- 1 year of experience working in a Linux environment.
- 1 year of experience working with Git and Github.
- 1 year of experience utilizing distributed frameworks including: Spark.
Any and all experience may be gained concurrently.
$110,000 - $118,000. The salary range posted reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this role in our Goleta, CA location. Individual pay will be determined by location and additional factors, including job related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
