Job description

We are looking for a temporary Data Entry Assistant at our Red Hook Factory. The Data Entry Assistant will assist our Production & Factory divisions by compiling, sorting & entering vital information into our database. This is an entry-level position and while prior experience isn’t necessary, the ideal candidate MUST be computer savvy, possess fast & accurate typing skills, and must have a keen eye for detail.

This is a temporary position not to exceed 2 months. This may change and increase to a permanent & full-time role, depending on business & operational needs.

What’s Your Role:

• Prepares source data for computer entry by compiling and sorting information.

• Transfers data from non-digital & digital formats into computer files or database systems

• Verifies entered information by reviewing, correcting, deleting, or reentering data

• Updates existing data & perform backups to preserve data

• Retrieves data from the database or electronic files as requested

• Sorts and organizes paperwork after entering data to ensure it is not lost

• Helps establish SOPs for data entry best practices.

What’s Your Skill Set?

• Accurate & fast typing skills

• Great attention to detail

• Excellent knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Excel etc.)

• Working knowledge of office equipment and computer hardware and peripheral devices

• Basic understanding of databases

• Excellent communication & customer service skills

• High school degree or equivalent, or prior experience as an office admin/clerk

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary

Pay: From $17.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
