POSITION SUMMARY:


Successfully promote and support the mission of Catholic Charities of Northeast Kansas as guided by the Catholic Social Teachings by providing strategic database support while overseeing more than 100,000 constituent records. This position requires a high level of focus, accuracy and problem solving, while working in a fast-paced environment. The majority of time will be spent entering and acknowledging gifts and maintaining data integrity in the agency’s Customer Records Management system (CRM). EEO.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Provides support for all aspects of the donor database.
  • Enters all aspects of incoming monetary donations received by the organization:
    • Evaluates and determines donor intent and directs donation to the associated fund in gift batch entry.
    • Prepares and submits associated deposit batch reports to accounting.
    • Prepares and sends all donation acknowledgments/tax receipts and maintains an electronic record of donor correspondence.
  • Researches information within the CRM regarding constituents to support the development team.
  • Proactively identifies opportunities/issues regarding constituent records and processes all updates/changes in CRM.
  • Supports event team in the management of the event module
  • Responds promptly and professionally to donor inquiries.
  • Manages quality assurance monitoring of data collection and maintenance.
  • Creates data queries/exports as assigned by DBM
  • Provides guidance to database volunteers.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Must complete VIRTUS training, background screening, drug testing, and any ongoing training as required
  • 1-2 years of data entry experience with Raiser’s Edge or similar CRM. Query writing experience preferred.
  • Preserves the ethical standards of Catholic Charities of Northeast Kansas and the development profession.
  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy. Critical thinker. Self-starter.
  • Effective communication skills: written, verbal, non-verbal, presentation. Ability to listen and take direction.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to professionally interface with constituents across the organization; ability to work well with diverse individuals and groups.
  • High motivation for success coupled with diplomacy, tact, and consistent follow-through.
  • Strong multi-tasking and prioritization skills.
  • A team player who works well under pressure.
  • Willingness to work during evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Exceptional computer skills especially related to Raiser’s Edge or other CRM, Outlook, Word, and Excel.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer, standing, bending and moving
  • Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds
  • Must have physical ability to effectively communicate with others
  • Must have the physical ability and appropriate licensure for driving
