Data Entry Specialist/Administrative Assistant
Job description
Salem School District’s Continuing and Alternative Education is searching for a full-time data entry specialist/administrative assistant to work with and assist students, teachers, and staff to provide a conducive environment for learning. Position meets at Salem High School (SAU57).
Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to Continuing and Alternative Education, including answering phones, greeting students, guests and teachers, and fielding questions.
- Assist participants with intake and enter enrollment and assessment data into the student management system.
- Maintain student records and program files. Contact students to set up appointments. Schedule rooms and technology use.
- Prepare bi-weekly payroll for staff and teachers.
- Enter data into transcript templates; reconcile with guidance department. Prepare for graduation exercises.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Training and/or administrative experience.
- Ability to work comfortably with a highly diverse group of students.
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
- Organizational and office management skills.
- Attention to accuracy and details.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a busy office.
