About the Job
A wealth of transaction, financial and client specific data has driven the need for data-oriented individuals to support Key’s growth. A successful business, technology, and results-oriented analyst will be responsible for gathering data requirements, analyzing data needs, supporting development of solution recommendations, and reporting out progress of solution implementations in the newly formed Data-as-a-Product strategy. This organization will play a critical part in managing the division’s interactions with business and technology partners, tasked with promoting collaboration between cross-functional working groups towards the creation and execution of a targeted data strategy for the digital business and this role will support all of the above.
Essential Job Functions
  • Support the Data & Decisions vision by identifying and analyzing the data and analytical needs between Line of Business, Technology, Marketing, and other connected programs and projects
  • Work with the rest of Enterprise Analytics and line-of-business teams to identify high value-add analytics use cases including data-triggered client experiences, modeling, valuations, performance monitoring, market testing, and driving novel insights
  • Gather data requirements and document data needs as part of solution development spanning from operational to adhoc, analytical and strategic date needs
  • Support development of solutions and recommendations and creation of artifacts to document them
  • Support the partnership with Technology and internally within EA to develop solution architecture allowing the solutioning of data needs
  • Develop reports and artifacts as needed for Data Strategy for part of the product/project
  • Prepare and distribute documents related to program activities to ensure projects maintain data scope
  • Work with other data product analysts and data product managers within the team to support prioritized initiatives
  • Work with product analysts to document data needs – work with partners to create prioritization documents
  • Work with line of business facing analytical teams and technology partners to work on initiatives prioritized
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree (or its equivalent) in Data Analytics, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or Statistics (or other related field); or Bachelor’s degree (or its equivalent) with 2 years of relevant experience
  • Training or experience in some or all of data/coding languages/tools like SQL, SAS EG, Python, Kubernetes, Tableau, Power BI, Data API’s
  • Experience analyzing complex data to support development of clear narratives and presentations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for interacting at all levels of the organization including the ability to tailor communications based on the intended audience
  • Ability to apply critical thinking and problem solving skills in all phases of product initiative life cycle from inception through implementation and beyond.
  • Ability to effectively adapt work style for both independent and collaborative work initiatives
  • Ability to develop strong, trusted partnerships/relationships with peers in other teams and critical stakeholder groups
  • Courageous and curious – not afraid to express concerns in discussions and always curious to learn new methods and tools
  • Business acumen – able to offer an additive perspective to partners as it defines and executes business strategies
  • Strong data background
  • Some project management experience or prior experience academic projects
  • Execution focus – knows Key or learns Key and how to navigate the organization to get things done
  • Smart, resilient, execution focused team member that works with the business priorities in mind
