The Project Engineer will be responsible for overseeing engineering projects from conception through production for furniture and other decided design directions. The project engineer will manage incoming project requests, work with the R&D team to develop prototypes and designs, facilitate support to manufacturing, and manage aspects of the R&D Process. The project engineer will be responsible for coordinating and exercising functional authority for planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of engineering and design projects. The project engineer will also be required to develop and implement optimal, cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods in accordance with product specifications and quality standards.


Responsibilities

  • Create new complete designs
  • Manages quality outcome of assigned projects- on time and on budget. Provides periodic reporting as directed.
  • Create new component designs
  • Manage multiple project requests effectively and efficiently
  • Maintain an organized process of product development initiatives
  • Quickly solve problems that may arise
  • Assist with identifying accurate bill of material quantities and Part Numbers
  • Effectively communicate and decipher product requests
  • Assist with ensuring the R&D and Engineering departments maintain a consistent and procedural approach towards product development.

Education and Experience

  • A Bachelor's Degree in engineering or a related field is required.
