The Data Specialist is responsible for tracking, collecting, aggregating, and reporting quantitative and qualitative data and information from partner organizations to fulfill requirements. The Data Specialist works closely with Bay Rivers Telehealth Alliance (BRTA) staff, grant partners, Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) grant officers, National Evaluation Team to collect and aggregate patient level, de-identified data to inform national level research to build the evidence base for Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) workforce development programs and services at the local level to inform process improvements. The Data Specialist will be responsible for attending meetings, workshops, webinars, and other events as needed. Additionally, the data coordinator will support the Area Health Education Center (AHEC) on data tracking, collecting, aggregating, and reporting quantitative and qualitative data and other duties as assigned.

Special Assignments

May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.



KSA's/Required Qualifications
Demonstrated ability using and extracting data reports from electronic databases. Strong customer service skills and effective verbal and written communication skills with a diverse population. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software. Ability to work in a busy environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines. Must be detail-oriented and possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to ensure the quality and accuracy of data and process and present it effectively to a variety of stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications
Degree and/or experience in related field. Experience in databases. Knowledge of external clinical agencies.
